Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos: One Year of Expectations and Latest Speculations on the Trailer 3 by GTA VI

They spent exactly a year since the second official trailer of Grand Theft Auto VI. On 6 May 2025 Rockstar Games released the trailer, enriching the preview with new images, details about the world of play and insights on the protagonists Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. Since then, however, an almost complete silence by developers. Except for a few statements by CEO Strauss Zelnick and some communications from Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar no longer provided concrete updates on the most anticipated game of the generation. This communicative pause is putting the fans hard to test, increasingly anxious about new information and immersed in different theories to anticipate the release of the Trailer 3. GTA VI's marketing proceeds with very unusual times compared to the previous exits of the chapters of the saga: usually, about seven months after the launch of GTA 5, the press had already access to the game and published dedicated previews. Today, at an analogous distance from the scheduled exit for November 2026, there were no hands-on, in-depth gameplay or new official communications. The individual information arrived recently focused on the words of Strauss Zelnick, which has confirmed several outline details: from the absence of the PC version to the launch to the marketing partnership with Sony, up to the desire to propose a product with the highest perceived value. But on the real game, silence persists. No new trailer, no gameplay presentation and no significant announcement. This absence inevitably fueled the obsession of the community. In recent weeks fans have analyzed frames, car plates, Rockstar Newswire post and even manually counted thousands of trees shown in trailers to estimate the density of the Vice City vegetation. The theories on Trailer 3 multiply day by day, with some pointing on mid-May as a possible publication window, even in view of the next financial report of Take-Two scheduled for 21 May. The general feeling is that something is moving. With the launch set for November 2026, Rockstar cannot remain silent for a long time, especially considering the huge marketing machine that will inevitably accompany the game’s debut. The hype, meanwhile, is at the most historic. Analysts and observers continue to predict record numbers for GTA VI, with estimates that speak of sales capable of exceeding virtually every record of the industry in the first 24 hours. For now, however, fans can only wait. A year after the Trailer 2, GTA VI continues to be at the center of the conversation without saying virtually anything: a luxury that, in good and evil, only Rockstar can afford.
