Shock Revelation: the GTA 6 exit date could be closer than you think! The first indications suggest a launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S for October 28, 2025, based on the strategies of Rockstar Games that historically focused on autumn. The PC could see light at the beginning of 2026, as suggested by Ronald van Veen, manager of Corsair, during a meeting with shareholders. The date of October 28, 2025 for consoles is based on Rockstar Games' previous launch models: GTA 3 came out in 2001, Vice City in 2022 and Red Dead Redemption 2 in 2018, all in autumn. Moreover, the possible release of Borderlands 4 on September 23 may have influenced Rockstar's choice to avoid overlaps with Take-Two Interactive. The launch on PC, instead, is expected at the beginning of 2026. Historically, Rockstar Games has often delayed the release of its PC titles over consoles; however, recent statements by Take-Two CEO emphasize the growing importance of the PC platform in the company’s strategy, suggesting a possible change. One noteworthy aspect is the creative autonomy of Rockstar Games. According to Mike Ybarra, former manager of Blizzard and Microsoft, the studio enjoys unprecedented operational freedom, even to the point that his editor Take-Two would not control release decisions. This level of independence, powered by the success of GTA Online, allows Rockstar to plan events independently. The situation is becoming and we are waiting for Rockstar Games' official release to confirm these developments.
