Cyberleek Forgets the Date of Indiscretions on GTA VI: A distraction operation?

The source of indiscretions on GTA 6, known as Cyberleek, denied fixing a deadline for the next wave of gameplay leaks. According to an announcement published through a recently created X account (@Cyberleek ar io), the informant had not scheduled the publication of 20:00 ET as suggested by some social sources. The initial wave of movies and images of the map, spread online on August 18, was born from the activity of @GTASixInfo on X. The situation was further complicated when linked accounts had anticipated content, with @RyzeGTAVI sharing screenshots of messages from a Discord user called Cyberleeks. These messages revealed details about scenes in which Lucia Caminos crosses the marshes of Leonida aboard a propeller boat, a meeting with an alligator, the customization of weapons and a five-star wanted level full of police chiodate strips. However, Cyberleek issued a statement to minimize enthusiasm, suggesting that the leak cycle was powered by impostors or secondary accounts. The story is a potential problem for Rockstar and Take-Two Interactive, especially considering the recent hacker attack of 2022. Cyberleek presented the initial disclosure as a protest against Rockstar's decision to release exclusively in digital format, urging public apologies and commitment to guarantee physical distribution, an aspect that now finds confirmation in Rockstar's support pages that already mention the presence of a physical edition (though with a download code within it). The expected date for the extended preview of GTA 6 on Netflix (August 27) perfectly coincides with the time window in which the leaks of news occurred, raising questions about the authenticity of some of the already widespread images. In fact, a forensic analysis of a clip revealed the use of a version of FFmpeg dating back to November 2023, fueling the doubt that the materials could have been manipulated. L’analisi forense su FFmpeg è cruciale qui.
