Take-Two Interactive does not fear the increase in console costs and the potential risk of shortcomings in view of winter, elements that could affect the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI. The new chapter of the series, expected on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 19, could reach 51 million copies sold in the first week. This is what emerges from the statements of CEO Strauss Zelnick during a last meeting with investors. "The increase in hardware costs is not a good thing," Zelnick said, but reiterates the company's conviction that GTA VI will be a success, based on the offer of an experience desired by players. He also pointed out that a lower price of consoles would be beneficial for Take-Two, as it would expand the user dock for the hardware needed to play. Zelnick also highlighted the growing importance of the PC market, defining it as a driving factor towards more "aware" systems. In the past, a game launched simultaneously on consoles and PCs generated only 1-2% of total PC sales; today this percentage can reach 40-50%. Despite this, the release date of the PC version of Grand Theft Auto VI remains uncertain. The next appointment with the game is scheduled for August 27, when the trailer “An Extended Look” will be available on Netflix.
