GTA VI: Preorders from Record and Awesome Sale estimates – Newzoo analysts

Grand Theft Auto VI's preorders are breaking every record. Newzoo analysts estimate that, within the first week, the game could reach a 4,5 billion dollars collection, equivalent to approximately 51 million copies sold. These numbers were calculated on the basis of a digital expenditure of $180 million in the five major European markets and the United States, based on the purchase of Grand Theft Auto V as a reference. Newzoo estimates that the GTA VI preorder campaign is already the strongest ever recorded, with a total of approximately 260 million dollars spent globally. Starting from these figures, the models predict a peak of sales of $3.3 billion in the first seven days of the launch, with a potential of 37 million distributed copies. The indiscretions that had already assumed an overcoming billion dollars in preorders have been denied by Newzoo, which defines these estimates "irrealistic". Despite this, even in the most prudent scenario, GTA VI is destined to record "extraordinary numbers according to any historical standard", confirming the commercial potential of the title of Rockstar Games.
