Rockstar presents GTA VI on Netflix: live on August 27th
Rockstar Games announced that it will officially present Grand Theft Auto VI next August 27 at 21:00 Italian, exclusively on Netflix. After months of waiting, players will finally have the opportunity to see new gameplay sequences during an event that could unveil crucial details on the project. The presentation, defined by Netflix as “a long preview of GTA 6, the next evolution of the revolutionary Grand Theft Auto series”, will be initially broadcast live on Netflix and later available also on YouTube channels and on Rockstar Games’ official website. Despite expectations of the game world, mechanics and novelties introduced by the new chapter, the release date remains confirmed for November 19, when GTA VI will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Non mi convince affatto questa definizione di "extended look". Netflix tende a dare un’accezione altisonante a qualcosa che in realtà è solo un po' più lungo dei trailer normali. Per me, il fatto che promettano uno sguardo “più approfondito” sul gameplay – con focus su nuovi protagonisti e attività – fa sperare molto. Mi aspetto di vedere almeno qualche momento significativo con Lucia Caminos; la sua presenza nel primo teaser ha creato già un’enorme aspettativa e secondo me sarà centrale nella storia, forse legata in qualche modo al coinvolgimento nelle operazioni di Boobie Ike a Grassrivers. Il trailer sarà cruciale per capire se il gioco punta su un approccio più narrativo o più orientato all'azione rispetto agli ultimi capitoli, soprattutto considerando che Jason Duval è stato accennato come una figura chiave nel mondo criminale di Ambrosia. E mi chiedevo: la decisione di concentrarsi sull’extended look, invece di un vero e proprio trailer completo, è una mossa strategica per gestire le aspettative dei fan dopo anni di attesa? Mi pare un rischio, perché una anteprima troppo breve potrebbe risultare deludente; ma se il gameplay mostrato sarà effettivamente convincente, potrebbe rappresentare un’ottima campagna marketing.
