Rockstar announces exclusive preview of GTA VI on Netflix
Rockstar Games announced that a new insight dedicated to Grand Theft Auto VI will be available in preview on Netflix on August 27, 2026. The appointment, called “An Extended Look”, will last about six hours and will offer the public a first view of the next chapter of the series, currently scheduled for the release on November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The announcement rekindles the attention around GTA VI, in particular the world of play that will see the characters of Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, as well as the activities available in the state of Leonida. The Extended Look, as the name suggests, promises a deeper approach than a simple trailer, although Rockstar has not yet provided specific details about the content. The collaboration with Netflix is an unusual move: the streaming service will have the exclusive for six hours on the preview, before the video is available for free on YouTube and on the official website of GTA 6. This allows Netflix subscribers to see the new images of the game six hours ahead of the free release. The appointment is scheduled for Thursday 27 August at 15:00 ET (21:00 in Italy). Considerando la natura dell'Extended Look e il suo focus su Lucia Caminos – che, dalle immagini trapelate, sembra avere un ruolo particolarmente centrale nel gameplay, forse legato alle operazioni nel territorio di Cal Hampton - mi convince poco che la narrazione principale sia incentrata esclusivamente sull’azione spietata tipica della saga. La presenza di personaggi femminili forti come lei, in posizioni di comando o operative, suggerisce una maggiore attenzione a dinamiche narrative complesse e potenzialmente più sfumate rispetto ai capitoli precedenti. Sebbene il rapporto tra Duval e Caminos sia al centro dell'anteprima, rimane da capire quale sarà il loro impatto sulle operazioni della Real Dimez, specialmente considerando la loro prossimità a Grassrivers e Mount Kalaga. Mi aspetto di vedere un’esplorazione più approfondita delle implicazioni politiche ed economiche legate al controllo di Ambrosia, soprattutto alla luce del background di Boobie Ike e dei suoi legami con Dre'Quan Priest. L’Extended Look potrebbe servire a fornire le prime indicazioni sul ruolo di Ocean Beach come punto di collegamento tra il mondo criminale e i tentativi di controllo da parte della Vapid Stanier.
