Michael Pachter Prevident: GTA VI Could cost 100 Dollars

The well-known analyst of Wedbush Securities, Michael Pachter, raised new concerns about the launch price of Grand Theft Auto VI. According to his forecasts, Rockstar Games could fix the basic price of the game to $100 or more, an operation that would be unusual for an AAA title. Pachter argues that Rockstar intends to encourage buyers to spend a significant sum by purchasing the game and receiving a generous virtual currency bonus to use within GTA Online. This move, if confirmed, could destabilize the entire video game market, pushing other developers to increase prices. The analyst warns that this is a forecast based on current economic conditions and the huge investment of Rockstar Games in the development of GTA VI. Despite the recent statements, pointing to an exit in 2025, the game will be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The debut is scheduled for the fall of 2026. The title is an action developed by Rockstar Games with the production of Take-Two Interactive.
