GTA VI: Classification ESRB confirms violence, nudity and sexual content – New confirmations for an adult game

GTA 6 received the ESRB Mature 17+ classification from the US Committee for Electronic Commerce (FTC), intended for the public from 17 years on in the North American market. The official pages of the game now list the content provided, confirming a strongly focused experience on intense violence, nudity, explicit language and representations of marked sexual content. The classification, divided into seven descriptors – blood and gore, intense violence, mature humour, nudity, strong language, marked sexual content and use of drugs and alcohol – confirms the adult direction of the new chapter of Grand Theft Auto. While not detailing individual sequences or game mechanics, the list of reported content provides a clear picture of expectations for GTA VI. Among the items that attract attention are nudity and sexual content marked, confirmed by the ESRB classification. However, it is crucial to understand that the presence of these elements does not automatically indicate the frequency or way they will be integrated into narrative or gameplay. Similarly, blood and gore reporting does not necessarily involve particularly bloody combat systems or explicit representations of wounds. In addition to these main components, the classification also includes the In-Game Purchases indication, which indicates the possibility of making purchases within the game. This information only specifies the presence of microtransactions and does not provide details on which content can be purchased, cost or offer mode. It is important to note that the ESRB rating represents a general indication of the content in the game and not a quantitative assessment of their frequency or impact within history. To fully understand the features of GTA VI, you will need to wait for more official information from Rockstar Games. Finally, it is essential to remember that the ESRB classification is distinct from the European PEGI system, used in Italy and other European markets; the two systems employ categories and criteria.
