GTA VI: Classification ESRB reveals explicit content and in-game purchases

Grand Theft Auto VI obtained the classification "M for Mature" (17+ in the United States) by ESRB, confirming the expected for the franchise. As predictable, the word includes elements such as “blood and mutilation”, “intense violence”, “mature humour”, “nadity”, “strong language”, “strongly sexual content” and the use of drugs and alcohol, in line with the standards of the series. The ESRB has also highlighted the presence of "in-game purchases", raising speculations on the possibility of additional paid content after the launch. While Rockstar has ensured the absence of microtransactions to the release of the game, this could refer to the digital upgrade to the Ultimate Edition, which offers additional missions and aesthetic options. The future release of DLC was not excluded. The ESRB classification partially contrasts with previous rumors about politically sensitive content management, suggesting a more open approach by Rockstar Games in the new chapter. Grand Theft Auto VI will debut on November 19, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
