A leaker, known as Detective Seeds, is fueling new hopes for GTA VI fans on PCs. According to SmartWorld, the release of the game on PC could take place three months after that console, set for February 2027. The leaker claims that after trying to contact over 90 people involved in the development of GTA VI, only three responded. His main statement is that Rockstar aims at a launch on PC in February 2027, in line with the company's historical model, where consoles receive the game first and the PC follows it about a year or two later. This timing is aligned with the delays already encountered in Rockstar's previous launches, such as GTA IV (console in April 2008, PC in December of the same year) and GTA V (console in September 2013, PC in April 2015), as well as Red Dead Redemption 2. The need for optimization for different platforms is often the determining factor in these delays. The leaker assumes that the final goal is to capitalize the massive sales numbers of the consoles, with a launch on PC in March 2027, then benefit from purchases by console players after one or two years. According to the statement, Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar themselves would like to release the PC version before the end of the fiscal year (which ends in March 2027). Despite the skepticism of some commentators, the leaker expresses confidence that Rockstar managed to optimize the game for PC, avoiding further delays. If this happens, fans would have the chance to play GTA VI since 19 November 2026 (date of console output), followed by GTA Online one month later and then GTA 6 for PC, with potentially improved graphics.
