Ex Developer Rockstar Avverte: GTA 6 Could Subvert One more Relay

In spite of the continuous revivals already announced, the release of Grand Theft Auto VI appears today closer than ever. Rockstar Games would be preparing to start the promotional campaign of the title, but the hypothesis of a further delay has not yet been completely excluded. To support it is Mike York, former developer of Rockstar, according to which the studio could decide to postpone the game again if the final stages of production took more time than expected. Interviewed by Indy100, York explained that Rockstar is traditionally willing to prolong the development of its titles in order to achieve the desired quality level. According to the former developer, even seemingly minor problems – such as a still unconvincing final mission or the presence of relevant bugs – could prompt the team to indulge several additional months. “Under my experience,” said York, “they could postpone it again. If in November they realized that the final mission does not work as it should or still has some problems, they could postpone the game for another six months if necessary. ” The words of York are not based on official information about the current state of development, but on its previous experience within the company and the working method adopted by Rockstar for its most important productions. Any postponement would inevitably cause disappointment among fans, but would not have significant consequences on the game's sales, given the expectation surrounding Grand Theft Auto VI. The release of the game is also a crucial event for the entire industry, with several publishers planning their launch windows taking into account the date chosen by Rockstar in an effort to avoid direct competition. At the moment, neither Rockstar Games nor Take-Two Interactive reported new program changes. The date communicated remains valid and there is no official confirmation on a possible further reference.
