GTA VI: Rockstar points on an extreme dynamic weather, with hurricanes and rainbows
Rockstar confirms a dynamic and extreme weather system for GTA VI, as highlighted by the first online discussions. The game includes dynamic clouds, localized storms, wet surfaces after rain and even the appearance of rainbows after storms. The real surprise is the introduction of tropical storms and hurricanes, accompanied by strong winds, intense rains, lightning and significant weather changes. The community is comparing this system with the one used in Red Dead Redemption 2, analyzing how Rockstar further evolved climate simulation in its new title. With the release scheduled for 19 November 2026, it still remains a long time to assess the impact of this weather on the gameplay and the dynamics of the game. Giuseppe Zetta aka Zell, a fan of video games, artificial intelligence and open source technologies, points out that Rockstar is significantly innovating the genre with this implementation.
