Tips from Rockstar: the iconic voices of GTA 5 offer their experience at Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos
The iconic voices of GTA 5 – Ned Luke, Shawn Fonteno, Steven Ogg and Young Maylay – offered advice to Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, the two protagonists of Grand Theft Auto VI, during a meeting with All Out Gaming at the MCM Comic Con. The veterans of the Rockstar saga, who play Michael, Franklin, Trevor and CJ (Young Maylay), shared honest considerations on the development of the game. Luke encouraged Duval and Caminos to "divert" while Maylay advised them to "go ahead". Fonteno added the importance of "Listening Rockstar" by highlighting the lead role of developers, while the group expressed concern about the potential longevity of the focus on character narration. Fonteno has emphasized that the two protagonists will find themselves to “make a journey that will last long” after the launch of GTA VI. Maylay added a warning: public attention could follow them for years, as their role as iconic characters remained centered on the character. "My game was 20 years ago. So when [GTA] 6 comes out, you will be in my position. We will always be the characters we are." This suggests that a masterful interpretation of the two actors could keep their fame tied to the characters for a long time. Maylay concluded: "You will grow with your audience." The open-world title of Rockstar, set in the fictional world of Leonida and characterized by the largest map of the history of the saga, will offer numerous entertainment options, including base jumping, kayaking, scuba diving, airboating, etc. Grand Theft Auto VI will be available on November 19, 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
