GTA VI: Preorders in Explosion, Estimated Launch Bill at 5.2 Billion Dollars

According to Newzoo estimates, Grand Theft Auto VI could generate up to $5.2 billion in the first weekend of launch, thanks to the huge success of the preorders. The company has calculated that at the global level approximately 260 million dollars have already been spent for the preorders, a figure that however differs from the initial estimates of a billion dollars. Newzoo defines “absurd” the claims regarding a million dollars in preorders, emphasizing that no game will ever reach such figures only with the preorders. However, by analyzing data from the US and five key European markets, the Newzoo Game Performance Monitor estimates a total of US$180 million in advance, suggesting a launch turnover between $3.25 and $5.2 billion for the first week. This figure is comparable to the success of Grand Theft Auto V, which cashed $1 billion in just three days in 2013. It is expected that most players will opt for the $100 Ultimate Edition instead of the $80 standard edition. An analyst at Stratechery even suggests a price of about $200 for the game, considering its potential. Despite Rockstar Games and Take-Two still have to release the trailer 3, the enthusiasm waiting for Grand Theft Auto VI is already destined to make history of gaming sales.
