XBOX Cloud Gaming and GTA VI: Microsoft Recognizes the Radius but does not forget the Streaming

A new Tom Warren report initially highlighted an exclusive agreement between Microsoft and Rockstar for streaming Grand Theft Auto VI to launch, combined with the opportunity to play in the cloud through PC. However, XBOX immediately clarified that it is not an exclusive agreement or access from PC through cloud gaming, deterring the first reconstructions. There are still many uncertainties about supported devices and streaming access conditions. As reported, Microsoft is preparing support for Grand Theft Auto VI’s streaming in conjunction with the launch, but Tom Warren’s exclusivity was correct. XBOX's clarification indicates that streaming will not be exclusive to Xbox consoles, and will not allow PC players to access the game via cloud gaming. Despite this clarity, fundamental issues remain: devices supported by streaming have not yet been defined (smartphones, televisions, browsers, etc.), nor have the precise conditions of access been communicated. It is important to note that Microsoft offers cloud streaming does not automatically imply the inclusion of GTA 6 in the Game Pass catalog, nor confirms its availability on competing services. The perspective of streaming remains interesting for the Xbox ecosystem, but until complete indications on supported devices and how to use are published, a cautious reading of statements remains. Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos will play at launch, hoping for XBOX cloud support, but they will have to wait patiently for the final directives for the use of the game.
