Advanced weather in GTA VI: Leonida si Svela con il Clima Estremo della Florida

The world of Grand Theft Auto VI will not be limited to only beaches of Vice City. Rockstar Games developed an advanced weather system to recreate the most unfavorable climate conditions in Florida, significantly increasing the realism level of the state of Leonida. As GameRant reports, this information comes from the cover dedicated to GTA 6 by Game Informer thanks to interviews with Rockstar Games development managers. The aim of the study is to create an environment that reacts crediblely to atmospheric changes and does not limit itself to a simple, sunny cycle. The Florida climate will be an integral part of the identity of Leonida. Game Informer reports systems capable of simulating the less favourable weather phenomena of Florida, although at the moment they have not been specifically confirmed hurricanes, tornadoes or dynamic floods. It is therefore essential to distinguish what is officially documented by the many speculations of recent years. GTA 6 films have already shown cloudy skies, rain, flooded roads and weather variations, but this new information indicates a more sophisticated system behind these effects. Considering the Florida-inspired setting, sudden storms, winds and significant climate changes could help make Leonida very different from Los Santos. Rockstar Games also worked on the fauna in the area (ground, water and sky), trying to reconstruct not only the aspect of Florida but also its ecosystem. The weather, fauna and settings seem to be part of the same goal: to create the most credible open world created so far by the study. It remains to see how the weather will affect the gameplay. It is not yet known whether extreme weather conditions can change the guide, character behaviour, visibility or missions. The confirmation of an advanced system makes the weather one of the most interesting elements to monitor in the coming weeks, especially considering the investment of Rockstar Games in this area in Red Dead Redemption 2. Grand Theft Auto VI will be available on 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. For up-to-date information on availability and price, please consult GTA 6 on Instant Gaming.
