Climate of GTA VI It will not always be Sun: Rockstar Preparing Florida in All Your Expectations

By GTA6 Hub editorial team

If you thought Grand Theft Auto VI would only offer beaches, palm trees and postcard sunsets, Rockstar Games seems to have quite different plans. The new title will not be limited to an aesthetic reconstruction of Florida, but will have an advanced weather system, designed to reproduce even its most adverse weather conditions. The confirmation comes from Game Informer, which has dedicated to the game a cover story of 14 pages through interviews with several lead designers of Rockstar Games. To sign the article is Marcus Stewart, native to South Florida, who revealed unpublished details about gameplay and setting, including advanced weather systems designed to simulate tropical storms and hurricanes typical of the region. The ambition of GTA 6 does not include only Vice City, but the immense fictional state of Leonida, inspired by Florida. This choice prompted Rockstar to work not only on the aesthetic reconstruction of the places, but also on its natural features. Game Informer speaks explicitly of “advanced weather systems”, underlining the ability to simulate complex and potentially dangerous atmospheric phenomena. Violent storms, tropical storms or hurricanes are thought, although Rockstar has not yet provided specific details. The impact on gameplay could be significant: weather will not limit itself to changing the appearance of the world, but it will also affect driving, visibility, NPC behaviors, fauna and even carrying out certain missions. Rockstar's precision in detail is legendary, so see Vice City face a biblical shower while the rest of the world continues its daily life could be much more surprising than a perfect climate. The process analysis used by Rockstar to study Miami and Florida, with the aim of creating a culturally and aesthetically accurate virtual environment, adds further depth to this title.
