Latest edition of GTA 6 Pre-Orders on PlayStation Store in Nine Markets

The Last Edition of Grand Theft Auto VI, at the price of $99.99, is dominating the pre-order charts on PlayStation Store in nine markets, including the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Japan, India and South Korea, as it results from updated data today, July 21, 2026. This trend is also reflected in other premium editions of different titles, which exceed standard versions in the same rankings. According to a TweakTown report, this situation is consistent with the previous behaviors of Grand Theft Auto fans, remarkably willing to spend on the game before the official release. The Last Edition, with its cost of $99.99, and the Standard Edition, which costs $79.99, present a ratio of 1,25:1. This means that the Last Edition only needs the purchase of 80 copies to exceed the sales volume of the Standard Edition, despite its higher expenditure. It is important to note that these PlayStation Store rankings are based on revenues and not on units sold. A more expensive product has an initial advantage if it generates more revenue. This data is particularly relevant considering the history of Take-Two Interactive with NBA 2K titles, where premium editions tend to be more successful in terms of sales. Despite this, the interest in Grand Theft Auto VI, the most anticipated game of the current generation after fifteen years of waiting, remains extremely high and suggests that players would be willing to pay any price. However, this will not prevent publishers from presenting this data as proof that the market is adapting to premium prices. In addition, Rockstar Games is organizing a contest to win a copy of the GTA 6 Latest Edition, inviting participants to leave their email and complete an action on the site during the competition period (an entry per person).
