As with gameplay clips, there are no official confirmations or denials, only a continuous circulation and cancellations. Take‐Two’s controversial decision not to release a physical edition of GTA VI, containing only a code to redeem for the digital version, generated controversy. The reaction to this choice was claimed by Cyberleek, as a form of protest against the absence of physical support, considered important for collectors and for the preservation of games over time. Some former Rockstar employees expressed appeals to calm, inviting not to boycott GTA VI, highlighting the complexity of the situation even outside the development studio.
