GTA 6: Preview Gameplay on Netflix – Date and Details
Rockstar Games announced that the next appointment with Grand Theft Auto VI will be on Netflix. On August 27, 2026, at 21:00 Italian, the software house will broadcast a “extended look”, a preliminary presentation of the gameplay that could include played sequences. The event will be streamed worldwide simultaneously by Netflix, before being available on YouTube and the official Rockstar Games channels at 3:00 a.m. in the next morning. The preview, with unconventional presentation mode, promises to unveil the dynamics of play, the protagonists – including Jason Duval, Lucia Caminos, Cal Hampton, Raul Bautista and Boobie Ike – and the various activities that will animate the virtual world. The title, set in the imaginary state of Leonida and with roots in the famous Vice City (inspired in Miami), will present an extended map full of details. As previously reported, the preorders started in late June also in Italy, but the game will not be available in physical format and those who purchase the case will find only a code for the digital download of the full version. The expected exit date shall be fixed at 19 November 2026. Non mi convince poco il fatto che l’anteprima sia stata anticipata di sei ore rispetto al trailer ufficiale. Se Rockstar mette in bocca un “extended look” di 25 minuti, mi aspetto almeno una durata simile per questa trasmissione su Netflix, soprattutto considerando che la software house ha sempre puntato sull’utilizzo di formati video estesi come parte integrante del marketing della sua saga. Il fatto che l’evento inizi alle 15:00 italiane e sia trasmesso in simultanea con YouTube suggerisce un tentativo di massimizzare la copertura mediatica, ma il divario temporale tra le diverse piattaforme mi sembra un'occasione sprecata. Resta da vedere se questo "extended look" rispetterà le aspettative e se riuscirà a staccare il botto, dato che l’hype per GTA VI è altissimo ed ogni dettaglio, anche piccolo, sarà analizzato all'ennesima potenza.
