The wait for Grand Theft Auto VI is at the door, with the scheduled debut next month on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. While the game will initially remain exclusive console, a new indiscretion suggests an alternative for PC players: Xbox would have obtained the exclusive GTA VI cloud streaming. According to Tom Warren of The Verge, Xbox CEO, Asha Sharma, told employees that Microsoft acquired exclusive rights to stream the title. This would allow players on PCs, smartphones, tablets and portable devices that are compatible with Xbox Cloud Gaming to play GTA VI, taking advantage of Xbox's cloud infrastructure. This move would represent an interesting solution for PC fans, as Rockstar Games has not yet announced a native version of the computer game. However, uncertainties remain regarding the duration of the exclusive and access mechanism for PC users: you may need to purchase an Xbox copy of GTA VI to play it through cloud gaming, and you will have to consider the monthly streaming limits provided (15 hours with Game Pass Ultimate, 10 hours with Game Pass Premium and 5 hours with Game Pass Essential). In addition, the streaming experience will depend on Internet connection stability and latency, factors that can affect image quality and playability. Despite these aspects to consider, cloud streaming could be an accessible way to try GTA VI without having to invest in a new console or wait for the release of the native PC version.
