Rockstar reveals the gameplay of GTA 6 on Netflix: the exclusive event to celebrate launch
For months fans of Grand Theft Auto VI lived a feverish wait, fed by leaks, theories and speculations. Now, finally, Rockstar Games announced an unexpected strategy to unveil the gameplay of the new title. August 27th will be available “Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look”, a film that promises to offer the first taste of the game mechanics with Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, as well as the evolution of the graphic engine compared to GTA V. The presentation, for the first time in the history of the saga, will debut initially on Netflix, before being released on the official YouTube channels and on the Rockstar Games website. A choice that bears witness to the importance of the event, intended to attract a global audience. Rockstar describes the film as something more than a simple trailer: a complete preview of the gameplay, with the possibility to directly observe the movements of the protagonists and the new features offered by the title. The wait to see Raul Bautista, Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan Priest, Real Dimez, Brian Heder and their dynamics in such an iconic environment as Port Gellhorn, Grassrivers, Mount Kalaga and Ambrosia has finally come to an end. The collaboration with Netflix is a strategic move: the streaming platform has invested significantly in the gaming industry and hosting world premieres the gameplay of GTA 6 offers both companies a huge showcase. Rockstar aims to reach millions of users, while Netflix associates its brand with the most anticipated video game of the last decade. Vapid Stanier and its crews will not be excluded from the action. The video will be available for viewing on August 27, with simultaneous release on all platforms. It will be possible to attend the event through Netflix during the European evening, then recover it on the official channels of Rockstar and, subsequently, on YouTube and on the site dedicated to GTA VI. Those who will not have immediate access through Netflix subscription will simply have to wait for official release on different platforms. Non mi stupirei se durante le dirette, o nei giorni successivi al rilascio del filmato, entrambi i protagonisti fossero attivi nel rispondere alle domande dei fan e nel fornire ulteriori dettagli sulle meccaniche di gioco o sull'ambientazione. La presenza di figure chiave come Raul Bautista, spesso implicito in situazioni di conflitto, potrebbe rivelare dinamiche interne interessanti all’interno della comunità di Grassrivers. L’estensione dell’ambiente di gioco, che include Port Gellhorn, è un fattore determinante: il livello di dettaglio e l'interazione con luoghi iconici come Ambrosia, suggeriscono una forte attenzione alla resa del mondo aperto, ma mi chiedo se questa ricchezza si tradurrà in un gameplay profondamente diverso dai precedenti capitoli della saga.
