Red Dead Redemption 2 on PS5: Rockstar's lag changes the cards at the table?

According to an internal source, the release of GTA 6 in November may have influenced the update timing for Red Dead Redemption 2. Many players eagerly await a dedicated PS5 version of the title with 60 FPS support, but the latest news suggests a possible slowdown. On X, insider NateTheHate answered questions about the update, simply stating "no". Another user has speculated that the project has never been officially planned, considering that GTA 6 is scheduled for November and Rockstar should not have released the update yet. NateTheHate suggests that the situation might change once Rockstar has kept GTA 6 in line with its launch. It may be that the PS5 version of Red Dead Redemption 2 is already ready, but waiting for the final decisions of the study. If GTA 6 was rescheduled, Rockstar could use the update as a “cuscinetto” to mitigate inconvenience and offer fans a playable title. At the moment, all attention is focused on GTA 6, one of the largest video game launches in industry history. Even after the release of GTA 6 in November, it might still take a few months before Rockstar officially announces a PS5 version of Red Dead Redemption 2.
