GTA 6 on PC: The release date provided by GamesBeat is the first quarter of 2027
Good news for PC players: “Grand Theft Auto VI” could arrive in the first quarter of 2027. According to a new report by GamesBeat, the PC version of the highly anticipated game will arrive between January and March. This would mean a wait of only two or four months for PC owners, a march ahead of the delay encountered with “GTA 5”. “GTA 6” is scheduled for launch on November 19, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, without a PC version at launch. If GamesBeat’s report turns out to be correct, PC players would expect about two or four months. This delay compared to “GTA 5” (which debuted in September 2013 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 but arrived on PC only in April 2015, about 19 months later) highlights the importance of the PC market. PC players currently account for 42% of the GTA 5 user base, exceeding PlayStation (35%) and Xbox (23%). This growth is powered by mod and “GTA Online,” where roleplay servers are extremely popular on PC. Rockstar Games hasn't commented on the article yet. The launch of the title was postponed twice before 19 November, introducing the characters Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval that will be the two playable characters in the game. The expectation of a PC version of “GTA 6” could be less than the past, especially because the online mode of “GTA 5” is still very active on PC. However, it remains to be seen whether the Rockstar will release “GTA 6 Online” in conjunction with the launch of the main game or later in 2026, as suggested by Paul Tassi of Forbes.
