GTA VI: Netflix unveils the "real" look at the most anticipated game – Crime series or system crisis?

Grand Theft Auto VI breaks the silence with an unpublished experience on Netflix, revealing an unexpected narrative approach. The TV special, broadcast exclusively and then made available on YouTube, offers for the first time real game sequences captured on a standard PlayStation 5. The map, three times larger than that of Red Dead Redemption 2, is at the center of attention, as well as the system of main characters: Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, the two protagonists presented for the first time in December 2023, are revealed the narrative bone of the game. The demo shows a drug deal that flows into a shooting, embodying the pure gameplay that Rockstar intends to offer players. The special, thirty minutes of duration and with frequent cuts to create a crime series atmosphere, emphasizes the will of the Take-Two development house to present the game not as a technological product to analyze, but as a high-quality television fiction. The most important technical information is the hardware used: the demo was captured on a basic PlayStation 5, and this choice could raise questions about the technical hold of the game as the title will be released in November in a market dominated by new generation consoles. The return of Jason and Lucia seems to mark a turning point in the marketing of the saga, moving attention from purely technological aspect to their involvement in the main plot.
