There are less than two months to launch on 19 November 2026 and GTA VI is already demonstrating an unprecedented appetite. Although Take-Two Interactive avoids divulging official sales figures, preorder estimates suggest an incredible demand, with potential revenues already exceeding $594 million. The company, led by Strauss Zelnick, describes the situation as "without precedent and stunning", admitting it exceeds the internal forecasts. The braking arrived shortly after the start of the bookings, started on June 25, just five days before the end of the financial quarter. The market analysts' estimates converge, with a company that targets approximately 4.77 million digital preorders on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S at the end of August, for an estimated gross revenue of around 446 million dollars, with the majority of PlayStation bookings. A significant peak was recorded on August 27, the day of the broadcast of the previewed movie on Netflix, with an increase of 436% of daily bookings compared to the previous day. While circulating much higher figures online – tens of millions of copies and billions of cashed dollars – these do not find official confirmation. Analyst forecasts for the first post-launch year range between 35 and 40 million copies. The Ultimate edition, at a price of 100 dollars, seems to be the preferred choice by the majority of pre-orderers (about 90%), a data confirmed by Zelnick, who justifies prices offering "more value" for purchase. It remains to be seen how these figures will translate into actual sales, especially considering that the potential audience could opt for the expectation of a discount. Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, the two protagonists of the game, have not issued official statements regarding these numbers.
