With less than two months at the launch, set for November 19, Rockstar Games opens the doors on Grand Theft Auto VI. The exclusive Game Informer report, interviewing key figures as co-director Aaron Garbut studio and narrative vice president Rupert Humphries, fills many of the gaps left by the August Netflix preview, focusing on the setting of the game, its systems and the huge extension of the map – an expanded version of Florida within the fictional state of Leonida. This is what emerged, with a summary of what we already knew. What we already know The foundations have long been consolidated. GTA 6 follows Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, a criminal couple to which players can alternate their loyalty, in Bonnie and Clyde style. The player must cultivate or interrupt this relationship. The game returns to Vice City, the interpretation of Rockstar for Miami, within the state of Leonida. Mashable's disamina on Netflix preview has deepened many aspects of gameplay. A slow motion target system, a demonic head-shaped moral indicator and interactions with non-playing characters (NPC) in Red Dead Redemption 2. We also know that there will be car races, alar jumps, and a more detailed car theft system. Most of the support cast had already been introduced before, although the Game Informer reportage includes a funny detail: actor Stephen Root revealed that it gives voice to Brian Heder, a drug-trading veteran who assigns missions and allows Jason to live for free in one of his properties. Leonida is the largest map ever made by Rockstar According to Garbut, Leonida is the largest world ever created by Rockstar. It is about double the size of the map of GTA 5 and very dense, with many more indoor environments. Garbut described Florida's attractiveness as "America at its maximum potential." Game Informer confirmed that the map is divided into six main regions: Vice City, Leonida Keyes, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga National Park. Rockstar Senior Environmental Art Vice President Paul MacPherson told Game Informer that the team studied North Florida cities such as Jacksonville, Panama City and Ocala. This region promises dirt paths, a party in a muddy playground, night demolitions, farms and catfish fishing. Don't expect a Disney World parody, though. When Game Informer asked about the Thematic Horlando and Space Coast, MacPherson did not confirm their inclusion. He said that the team had to restrict which monuments were selected and suggested that such locations might not be present in the game. Jason and Lucia: a relationship to your liking The cultivation of the link between Jason and Lucia, as already mentioned, is not new. What is new is that Jason and Lucia always remain partners, but players decide whether they remain friends or become a romantic couple. Game Informer reports that the bond is strengthened through missions and small gestures such as holding hands, opening doors, responding to...
