Trailer GTA VI on Netflix: Exclusive Pre-Order Preview
Rockstar announced that the next official trailer of Grand Theft Auto VI will be available exclusively on Netflix. The preview, of unspecified duration, will be transmitted on August 27 at 21:00 (Italian time) on the streaming platform and will then be available to the public only six hours later, through YouTube. The content will presumably concern the real gameplay of the game, but the details are still dark. The game, released on November 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, is already available in preorder in Standard editions (79.99€) and Ultimate (99.99€). The latter includes a series of premium content: the Grotti Cheetah, the custom Hawk & Little Morgan revolver, variants of the handguns of the protagonists with dedicated engravings, outfits, tattoos and exclusive hairstyles, Jason’s safehouse vehicle, the Ganado Retro Build modkit for Jason’s pickup, a Shitzu Squalo pleasure boat with explosive case on board, the exclusive garage buggy Vapid Domin Those who pre-order or purchase the game by November 20 will also receive the Vintage Vice City Pack, containing the two-tone sedan ’55 Vapid Stanier and the Shore Court Garage near Ocean Beach, as well as vintage outfits and theme objects from the 1980s and 1990s. Access to GTA+ will be included for a month with digital and physical editions. The pre-load will be available from November 12, eliminating the possibility of buying used physical copies. Finally, Rockstar confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI is a single player experience with no multiplayer component online at launch, but this will be introduced later. L’idea di una anteprima esclusiva su Netflix mi convince poco. Da un lato, è un colpo pubblicitario inaspettato che sicuramente farà parlare di sé il gioco, data la popolarità della piattaforma streaming. Dall'altro, mi sembra una scelta mirata a premiare gli abbonati Netflix, e non tanto a coinvolgere direttamente la community GTA VI che si aspetta qualcosa di più "diretto" dal team di sviluppo. Quello che noto è una certa tendenza di Rockstar a proteggere il proprio prodotto, e questo approccio esclusivo con Netflix sembra confermarlo. È una mossa audace, senza dubbio, ma mi fa pensare che l'anteprima potrebbe essere tagliata o limitata per non rivelare troppe informazioni sul gioco, puntando più sull'effetto sorpresa sulla base degli abbonamenti Netflix piuttosto che su un'immersione profonda nel gameplay e nella storia. L’inclusione del Vintage Vice City Pack, in particolare, suggerisce una volontà di attrarre i fan dei capitoli precedenti, ma l'annuncio non specifica se questa componente avrà un impatto significativo sul gameplay o sulla trama principale di GTA VI; è possibile che si tratti solo di un "easter egg" nostalgico. Resta da vedere come Rockstar gestirà la promozione dell'anteprima e se utilizzerà anche altri canali per raggiungere il pubblico più vasto, al di là della trasmissione su Netflix.
