Restaurant Burger Shot in Miami: a clue about the price of GTA VI?

With the expectation for the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI arriving on November 19, 2026, speculations on the cost of the game only increase. Several sources suggest an unprecedented development budget, estimated at $12 billion. It is about a price at the release of about 150 dollars (120 pounds, 140 euros), although the industry standards indicate a lower cost for AAA games, around 69.99 dollars/£69.99 on PS5 consoles and Xbox Series X/S. Rockstar has confirmed that GTA 6 will be available exclusively on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, without support for PCs or older consoles such as PS4 and Xbox One. Rockstar's strategy, which historically favours console outputs before PC release, reflects the high hardware potential of the new generations. Despite the expected release date for the fall of 2025, CEO of Take-Two, Strauss Zelnick, stressed the possibility of further delays due to the need to guarantee the highest quality of the game, an approach similar to that adopted in the past with titles such as Red Dead Redemption and GTA V. Recently, a disguise between Rockstar and its employees regarding the return to the office, despite the remote creation of GTA 5, raised time and questions on the project management.
