Take-Two Requests Microsoft and Discord Information Users Involved in the leakage of GTA VI

As reported by Kotaku, Take-Two Interactive presented an instance to the Federal District Court of the Southern District of New York to obtain information about the spread of gameplay of GTA 6. The company formally requested Microsoft and Discord to provide any documentation regarding online accounts involved in publishing and sharing leaked content, including user data, associated OneDrive accounts or Xbox connections. The application filed on 20 August specifies that the request aims to identify alleged offenders and to protect the rights of Take-Two. The petition gives Microsoft a deadline until September 4 to produce “all internal corporate documentation” and investigative documents relating to the internal investigation of the character "cyberleek". The document further details the required information, including the account ID, email registration and access addresses, IP addresses, phone numbers, associated links (Google/Xbox/ecc.), device identifiers (MachineGuid/MSA) and any content related to Grand Theft Auto (“GTA”), Rockstar or Cyberleek in the User’s OneDrive accounts. Discord will have to provide similar data regarding the accounts involved in communication with the Discord servers related to "CYBERLEEK", "CINEMATICROCKSTAR" and "Surfer24kTM (+ the cyberleek west, surwest replacement handles)", as well as the servers of Ødyssey.gg and DarkViperAU, linked to the Matthew streamer “Matt” Judge. The release of the game is scheduled for November 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, while the next official presentation is scheduled for August 27 at 21:00 on Netflix.
