Take-Two asks Microsoft and Discord Cyberleek data for GTA VI leak investigations

As reported by Kotaku, Take-Two Interactive launched a legal action against Microsoft and Discord, requiring disclosure of information about unauthorized dissemination of gameplay of Grand Theft Auto VI. The company submitted a request to the Federal District Court of New York to obtain data relating to online accounts involved in sharing leaked content. The petition includes specific requests to Microsoft, including the provision of all internal corporate documentation relating to the internal investigation of the character “cyberleek”, as well as user logs associated with that profile and Discord servers involved between June 1, 2026 and today. Take-Two also requires the identification of user accounts in communication with Discord servers called "CYBERLEEK", "CINEMATICROCKSTAR" and "Surfer24kTM (+ the cyberleek west replacement handles, surwest)", as well as "Ødyssey.gg" and "'! Odyssey' (discord.gg/odyssey)". Particular attention is paid to the Discord server managed by the GTA 5 Matthew “Matt” Judge streamer, known as DarkViperAU. The request aims to identify individuals responsible for the dissemination of content, thus protecting the intellectual property rights of Rockstar Games and Take-Two. The availability of Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for November 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, while the next official presentation is scheduled on August 27 at 21:00 on Netflix.
