Grand Theft Auto 6 will require 210 GB of free space on the PlayStation 5 hard drive, according to the latest information revealed by PlayStation Game Size. The pre-download of the game experience will begin on November 12th and the official release date is fixed on November 19th 2026, then available on Xbox Series X/S. The specialized site, which monitors information within the PlayStation system, has announced that players can start downloading GTA 6 a week before launch. On the Xbox Store marketplace, at the moment, the exact size of the file is not yet available, reporting only an approximate value, probably intended to be updated in the future. The size of 210 GB makes Grand Theft Auto 6 one of the most challenging titles for current consoles, due to the use of high resolution textures and models, detailed environments, immersive audio and a large amount of additional content. Projects such as Starfield, Forza Horizon 5 and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth have already exceeded 100 GB, while some titles, especially those with vast high definition resource packages or high post-launch downloadable content, can reach 150 GB or even 200 GB. Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos will therefore be faced with an extremely complex and detailed game, which will require considerable storage space. The Rockstar Games developer team will have to demonstrate their ability to create vast and engaging open worlds.
