The preorders for Grand Theft Auto VI have already crossed the line of 6 million, with a preponderant slice (74%) for the PlayStation 5 version. The release date of 19 November 2026 seems to be consolidated, despite the previous delays communicated by Rockstar Games. The game will be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, while the release on PC is expected at least one year in advance. Many players have already started organizing themselves to enjoy the Day One title, and several video publishing houses seem to have decided to focus their strategies around the GTA VI exit. The project, the result of a titanic development that has exceeded the 13 years, represents an investment of over a billion and a half dollars. The preorders are already open: you can buy the game in digital format, ensuring access to an anticipated download scheduled for November 12, or opt for the physical version that, as Rockstar pointed out, will not include a Blu-ray but a download code. This choice marks a further step towards the disappearance of physical format in video games. The standard price of the game will be €79.99 and will include the basic title and a subscription to GTA+ for a year. The Ultimate Edition, available at the cost of €99.99, will offer additional content such as special weapons, exclusive vehicles, custom tattoos for the protagonists and dedicated outfits. As a bonus for those who will pre-order the game, “Vintage Vice City” will be available, a set of aesthetic content inspired by the classic GTA: Vice City (2002), set in the same city – a sort of Miami – with iconic Tommy Vercetti as protagonist. Also, remember that the game will be available only in digital format.
