Rockstar North reveals: "GTA VI, a step forward for the evolution of gameplay"

In view of the release scheduled for November, Rockstar Games released an exclusive interview with IGN Italia with Rob Nelson, co-studio head at Rockstar North. “It’s a step ahead of all points of view,” said Nelson, unveiling some key details on the development of the title. The main goal of the team was to evolve the positive elements of past titles while maintaining the fulfilling experience that made the previous GTA games so loved. This results in a vast and immersive world, where players can devote themselves to significant activities beyond the simple completion of missions to earn money or increase statistics. The Leonida setting offers players the opportunity to explore it thoroughly. “The title is so extensive that I don’t think there is anyone in the team who knows every corner,” Nelson explained. Nelson and his team have devoted enormous amounts of time, research and work to the creation of the world of GTA VI and the development of the styles of non-playing characters (PNG), ensuring that each area was distinctive and rich in details. The team, with a particular focus on interaction with PNGs, benefited from lessons learned during the development of Red Dead Redemption 2. Nelson revealed that the PNG dialogue is deeper than the simple execution of jokes: "You can use my balls like a boxing bag" or "I can pee on you, if you pay me", are just a few examples of this approach. The evolution of PNG extends beyond clothing and thefts, representing one of the main innovations of the game.
