New Details about GTA VI: Casual Dating, Rapine and the Jason-Lucia Report Suede by Rockstar

An exclusive interview with Rob Nelson, Head of Development and Co-Studio Head of Rockstar North, revealed new crucial details about the development of Grand Theft Auto VI. The conversation with IGN, fully republished, deepens key aspects of gameplay such as casual encounters, robberies, NPC behavior and the dynamics of the relationship between Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. Nelson described an unusual interaction: during a robbery, Lucia can choose to give pills to a man hidden in a dumpster or ignore him. A subsequent return allows the player to receive legal advice. Unexpectedly, the player can even enter the dumpster with the man, expanding the interaction options. Another interesting moment occurs during the exploration of a police deposit: Jason spontaneously suggests stealing one of the cars present. Nelson decided to follow that idea, changing the demo program. The developer emphasizes that he was not personally aware of that joke in the game, highlighting the influence of the protagonists during the discovery of the world of Vice City. The gameplay allows the player to alternate control between Jason and Lucia while traveling. The player can be passenger by listening to conversations, or letting the other one continue autonomously. You can also use the Ryde Me service for quick travel, accompanied by interactions with the driver. Rockstar paid special attention to the representation of the relationship between Jason and Lucia, avoiding a stereotypical approach. Through various experiments, they found a solution considered appropriate to guarantee credibility to the couple even to those who want to deepen the relational aspect of the game. As for non-playable characters (NPC), Rockstar created a specialized team in Los Angeles consisting of writers, directors and producers, studying human behavior to make dialogues more realistic. The NPCs will not simply avoid the player if he approaches them; conversations will be dynamic and varied. The elements of Jason and Lucia's past will be gradually revealed, through a mix of direct narrative and implicit references, to allow the player to build their own connection with the protagonists.
