Take-Two defends the price of GTA VI: 80 euros and surprise reservations

When Take-Two announced that Grand Theft Auto 6 would arrive at the price of 80 euros in its standard edition, a part of the Italian community of players expressed relief. However, many fans of open world games were concerned, especially considering the inclusion of exclusive content in the Ultimate edition. Take-Two CEO and owner of Rockstar Games, Strauss Zelnick, defends the price highlighting that it is an investment in a high quality gaming experience. During a recent conference with investors, Zelnick was questioned about the price of $80 of GTA 6 and the price strategy, claiming that the goal of Take-Two is to offer players a complete gaming experience, with cutting-edge graphics and a complex plot, as well as customizable multiplayer modes. Zelnick also underlined the success of the bookings: during the opening of the reservations of June 25, the marketing campaign of GTA 6 has generated a huge interest among Italian and global players, leading to 1,390 million dollars in net bookings, exceeding the internal forecasts despite a decrease of 3% compared to the previous year. Reservations were open for five days, with a great interest among game players. Despite this, Zelnick expresses optimism on the prospects for the sale of the game, based on the effectiveness of the marketing campaign and the promise of GTA 6.
