Map of GTA VI: The Community Discovers a Smaller World, but Still Huge

The GTA VI community continues to work on rebuilding the game map, and version 16 of the community's shared maps reveal new information about the extension of the game world. The team that curates the project referred to sources such as a map allegedly leaked on 18 August and images taken from Rockstar’s Extended Look. The most significant changes concern the reconstruction of Vice City, Key Lento, Hamlet, Capri and Ambrosia, with the addition of new roads, buildings and details in coastal lines, beaches and urban areas. The Altimetrica map has also been revised, with the addition of new camera positions and the reporting of new parking areas and industrial areas. The most notable changes occur in Vice City and in its surroundings, where the buildings were made more detailed, adding new alleys, heliports and road links. The total scale of the map was reduced to about 21 x 20 km (420km2), but the reconstructed land surface is estimated to be about 85.6 km2, down from the almost 110 km2 of the previous version. This reduction was due to the revision of the scale and form of Leonida based on more recent information. Despite this decrease, the reconstructed map remains impressive, estimated to be more than 50 km2, comparable to the land surface of GTA 5. The interactive versions of the map are available on GTADB and State of Leonida, allowing users to explore the new locations and added roads in detail.
