Interest in L.A. Noire, the police title set in the Los Angeles of the 1940s, remains alive despite its peculiarities regarding the open world titles of Rockstar Games. The idea of a return to this classic, with a strong investigative appeal, arouses interest among fans. Today, May 17, 2021, the tenth anniversary of the game is celebrated, when The Hollywood Reporter interviewed Aaron Staton, the actor who played Cole Phelps, learning details about the potential development of a sequel. According to Staton, there were no communications from Rockstar about a future chapter of the game, developed by Team Bondi (now deceased). The actor expressed curiosity about a radically different plot, considering the fate of his character, not having received news about a sequel after the death of Cole Phelps. L.A. Noire boasted advanced MotionScan technology, used by Team Bondi to ensure a surprising realism in scanning the faces of the actors. Although Rockstar has released versions on Nintendo Switch (2017) and actually virtual (The Case Files, 2019), a sequel project remains uncertain, as suggested by the fact that in 2012 the manufacturer had only "timidly considered" the idea. Recently, fans focused on other interesting Rockstar projects, such as the transformation of GTA 5 through artificial intelligence or the discovery of real locations inspired by the game by members of the Intel Labs team and ResetEra users, inviting them to explore the ranking of the best chapters of the GTA saga.
