GTA VI on PC and Switch 2: the current situation

Rockstar Games has not yet announced a version of Grand Theft Auto VI for PC or Nintendo Switch 2. Information about the two platforms is based on official statements of Rockstar and Take-Two Interactive, and on some noises. The game is scheduled for launch on November 19, 2026 exclusively on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. About the PC, Rockstar did not release specific information about a version of the game, and GTA VI does not appear among the official platforms on the official website. However, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick reiterated that the PC became increasingly important to the company, citing the successes obtained with GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 as an example of similar strategies that Rockstar could adopt for the launch of GTA VI. Despite this, no indications have been given on the date of release of the game on PC. As for the Nintendo Switch 2 (currently without official name), the situation is even more uncertain. Both Rockstar and Nintendo have not released official releases regarding a version of GTA VI for this console, and the console itself does not appear between the platforms announced for the launch of the game. Take-Two has expressed continuous support to Nintendo platforms, highlighting the expansion of their audiences over the past, but without linking these statements directly to GTA VI. At the moment, the output on Switch 2 remains a subject of speculation and noise. VERDETTO: CRITICO La situazione attuale, come descritta, è decisamente frustrante.
