Collector's Box GTA VI: The "Goodtime State" of Vice City costs 399€ but does not include the game

Rockstar Games announced the “Goodtime State” – Vice City Collection, the fabled collector's box for Grand Theft Auto VI. The exclusive and limited set, available in pre-order at the Rockstar Store at £349 / $399, does not include a copy of the game. The Vice City collection includes "essential fabrics for fun", inspired by the hit show of Leonida, "Macca the Gator". The launch is set for November 19th and consists of numerous exclusive articles: Macca the Gator collection figure, Oakley® FrogskinsTM glasses, shoulder bag Leonida Keys, New Era® 9FORTY Snapback Hat, magnetic portable mirror with Macca the Gator, shot glass Chunkee the Manatee, tablespoon of mixing Vice City, keyring with the keypad Vice City The collection was the subject of an early escape, discovered through a post on GTAForums published by the ‘videotech’ leaker on X. Initially it was thought that the box included the game, but Rockstar clarified that GTA 6 is “sold separately”. Despite this, the wait for additional GTA 6 theme merchandise continues, as demonstrated by the recent revelation of “Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album”, the official soundtrack of the game. VERDETTO: CRITICO La “Goodtime State” – Vice City Collection di Rockstar è un esercizio di marketing opportunistico, e il prezzo di 399£/399$ per una scatola di merchandising senza includere il gioco stesso la rende intrinsecamente problematica. Il fatto che sia stata ‘scoperta’ tramite una fuga su GTAForums, alimentata da un leaker anonimo, non aggiunge valore alla situazione: sottolinea semplicemente come la comunicazione di Rockstar sia fallimentare e dipenda interamente da fonti esterne per alimentare l'interesse. La selezione degli oggetti, pur con riferimenti a Vice City e al personaggio di Macca the Gator (e a Leonida, seppur in modo apparentemente casuale), appare pensata più per attrarre collezionisti hardcore che per offrire un vero valore aggiunto all’esperienza di gioco. L'idea di un set da 450$ senza il gioco è, francamente, lussuosa e ingannevole, specie considerando la già alta domanda per GTA VI. Il fatto che sia stata "oggetto di una fuga anticipata" fa presagire una gestione dell'informazione altrettanto caotica durante il lancio del gioco vero e proprio, cosa che non mancò di confermare la community.
