60 FPS performance mode on PS5 and Xbox? Latest GTA VI News Escape

A new leak from the MediaMarkt website suggests a 60-frame performance mode per second (fps) for GTA VI on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The information, linked to the preorders scheduled for June 25, highlights the existence of two graphic options for the next generation consoles: “Prestations” and “Quality”. Although Rockstar Games has not yet provided official details about performance options, the presence of these modes raises questions about the optimization of the game for PS5 and Xbox. The fear expressed by fans is that the vast open world with its realistically recreated environments (with the inclusion of cities such as Ocean Beach, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Grassrivers) can overload the consoles, especially given the combination of global lighting with ray tracing, as shown in the trailers depicting Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. Digital Foundry analysis suggests that a pure 60 fps mode may not be reached, even on a hypothetical PS5 Pro. Video and screenshot analyses indicate that trailers are played at 30fps and employ advanced techniques such as global ray tracing lighting that could compromise visual quality. A possible compromise could be a default setting of 40 fps combined with a higher frame rate, but the final details remain to be confirmed officially before the scheduled exit for November 19. Aptical features of the DualSense controller are also provided and the use of an SSD to speed up loading times (Boobie Ike, Real Dimez).
