GTA VI: Vice City e Leonida – Ambientazione Ampliata

By GTA6 Hub editorial team

Rockstar returns to Vice City, but with a significant turn. The new chapter of Grand Theft Auto is set in part in the fictitious state of Leonida, inspired by Miami and Florida, while the classic Vice City remains a central element of experience. The ambition of GTA VI is divided into two main areas. Initially, players will be immersed in the vibrant atmosphere of Vice City Beach, with its beaches that reproduce South Beach in Miami, and in the streets illuminated by the neon of Ocean Drive. The lovers of the classic Vice City will immediately recognize the Ocean View Hotel, an iconic point of the original game. But the real novelty lies in the exploration of Leonida. This state, modeled on Florida, includes swamps similar to Everglades and islands connected by roads, such as the Florida Keys, giving players the opportunity to face natural hazards and develop survival strategies suitable for this wild environment. The trailer also shows the use of hydroplanes to navigate between the islands and the New Bahla Honda Bridge, which could indicate the vastness of the game map. The distances between the different areas could be considerable, requiring players to plan their trips carefully – and perhaps bring a good survival kit and sunscreen. A user has recently published a detailed comparison of the places shown in the trailer with those present in GTA: Vice City on Reddit, highlighting the fidelity of the setting. The title does not reveal the specific year of the game, but the details shown – modern vehicles, cutting-edge weapons, smartphones and social platforms such as TikTok and Instagram – suggest a current or futuristic setting, probably around 2020.
