GTA VI: Exclusive Preview on Netflix on August 27 – Here’s What You’ll See Before the Official Release

Rockstar Games and Netflix have announced a new collaboration for Grand Theft Auto VI, offering subscribers an exclusive preview of the new chapter. On August 27, 2026, Netflix will host “Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look”, a six-hour presentation that will allow users to see the game well before its official release on the Rockstar official channels. For the Italian public, the appointment is set at 21:00. Who does not have a Netflix subscription will be able to follow the deferred presentation at 03:00 on August 28 on the Rockstar Games YouTube channel and on the official website of Grand Theft Auto VI. The central issue remains if this preview represents the first real gameplay of GTA 6; Rockstar defined the presentation a “extended look” without providing specific details about duration or content. The preview of "Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look" will debut on Thursday 27 August 2026 at 15:00 ET, i.e. at 21:00 in Italy. After the first six hours, the content will become accessible free of charge through the Rockstar channels. The Italian calendar is the following: - August 27, 21:00: exclusive preview on Netflix; - August 28, at 03:00: publication on the official YouTube channel of Rockstar Games and on the site of GTA VI. The Netflix subscription is only necessary to see the preview in advance, an opportunity of six hours that Netflix is treating as a movie première. The content will not be exclusive of the platform and will be available for use on YouTube and the official website later. This strategy is a change in Rockstar’s habit of publishing trailers directly through its official channels. At the moment, no details have been revealed about the content of the Extended Look. The official description of Netflix promises a “wider look” on the evolution of the Grand Theft Auto VI series, without specifying the duration or ladder. The use of the term "Extended Look" suggests that the preview could be more full than the two film trailers already published. A gameplay trailer has not yet been communicated.
