GTA VI: Changes to the NPC Behavior Due to the Use of Arms

By GTA6 Hub editorial team

Rob Nelson of Rockstar Games unveiled crucial details about the gameplay of GTA VI, with particular attention to the weapons system and the renewed driving system. According to the statement, the behavior of the NPCs was greatly altered compared to GTA V. In particular, the freedom to walk for Vice City with guns in sight, as possible in the previous title, will no longer be allowed: the NPCs will react negatively to the presence of weapons exposed, reflecting a level of realism and interaction significantly higher. Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos will be able to carry two hidden guns, while long weapons – the first on the secondary hand, the other on the back – will be visible but will rise reactions from the inhabitants of the game world. Some characters will already react to the sight of a gun, others will prove more agitated by seeing a hidden weapon. In parallel, the driving system has been drastically improved, offering a much more realistic experience than GTA 4 and GTA V. The guide is now fluid and takes into account the weight of the cars, as well as factors such as transmissions, suspensions, tires and steering. The goal is to provide players with an intuitive but accurate driving system that requires attention to the narrowest roads, making the gameplay of GTA VI more immersive and dynamic, in line with the overall narrative of the game.
