According to an analyst, Grand Theft Auto VI could recover all production costs before a single person actually plays the title. The prediction comes from Karl Kontus, general manager of video game insights at Sensor Tower, the same analyst behind the recent discovery that almost nine out of ten pre-orders agreed to the controversial $100 "Ultimate Edition". During an interview with GamesIndustry.biz, Kontus speculated that if the next Grand Theft Auto reaches about 25 million pre-orders at launch, it will generate revenue of $2 billion, covering most of the marketing budget, while continuing to preload the game. Normally, a video game must be sold to earn what costs to produce it, but Kontus states that the only cash out of the pre-orders for GTA 6 would be enough to make the company profitable by November 19, in line with estimates on pre-orders that exceed all expectations. Scenario Ipotesi Pre-Ordini di GTA 6 What could mean each of the scenarios related to the pre-order figures of the Grand Theft Auto 6. Of course, all this is purely theoretical. Sensor Tower is currently monitoring approximately 4.3 million pre-orders, a figure far from the 25 million planned. This number will have to increase almost six times in three months to reach $2 billion. However, it is not an impossible number to reach, since most pre-orders usually focus on the final week before launch. No one really knows the total until we almost got to the end. Speaking of unknown figures, $2 billion is a projection that has long circulated. It wasn't a confirmed number. Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive have never specified how much it costs to do GTA 6, and that figure of 2 billion dollars represents total sales, not what Take-Two retains once you place online orders. So, actually, as we would like to have the chance to write that GTA VI "already paid for itself", it is a phrase based on an approximate number and compared with another unknown figure. Considering all the doubts surrounding GTA 6, what is not in question is the direction in which the game is going. Although Kontus' analysis was drastically cut, the approximately 8 million pre-orders of Cyberpunk 2077 of 2020 represented the previous record for this kind of thing, and its prudent prediction is only three times that. We have already calculated how many GTA 6 copies must sell to reach the draw, although the amount is considerable, it would not be wise to bet against GTA 6. The only real question was and remains if the game manages to make a good creative guilt. The sale has never been a problem or a risk. In fact, Kontus could be underestimated. Its $2 billion account corresponds to the standard price, but with almost 90 percent of pre-orders aimed at the $100 version, the real move could be higher. In any case, the number that really matters is that of November 19th, when we will discover how many of those pre-orders were real and how the game will turn out once allowed to all to play. <la prosecuzione del testo, senza premesse ne' riferimenti al testo che precede>
