GTA VI: Rockstar unveils the first radio stations and interactive podcasts

Grand Theft Auto VI is also heard through its soundtrack, with Rockstar Games announcing a first group of six radio stations in the game. This selection promises an unprecedented variety, in line with the company's ambition to create the largest and most diversified issuer ever made for the series. The return of Flash FM, a historical issuer of Vice City entrusted to Robyn and Alex, is definitely a nostalgic call that will resonate among fans. The station will mix different eras and sounds, reflecting the contemporary atmosphere of the city imagined by Rockstar. The Latin component will be offered by Cocoteo FM, led by El Martillo and La Gata, with a focus on bachata, merengue, dembow and reggaeton. For country lovers, Back Country Radio will bring the programming of MW and Delta Dawne from Grassrivers to Port Gellhorn. Dirty South Classics will dedicate its space to rap and hip-hop in the South of the United States with Trick and Trina, while The Chamber 106.6 will focus on classical metal from the 1980s onwards thanks to DJ Kerry and DJ Tom. AfroBank FM will focus on African music, spacing between classics, less known songs and contemporary sounds like amapiano and 3-step. An absolute novelty for the series is the introduction of podcast on demand that Jason and Lucia can listen not only in the car but also on foot, exploiting headphones and earphones connected to the smartphones of the protagonists. This element aims to transform radio and podcast into a continuous presence in the world of play, following the two characters during the exploration of Leonida and contributing to satire, news and construction of ambientation. The extracts of the six radio stations are available in the music section of the official Rockstar Games website. The company promised more details about the dynamic soundtrack and the complete list of broadcasters and their tracks, as well as Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, the collection of 34 original songs coming out along with the game. The launch is scheduled for 19 November 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, confirming the importance of music in the identity of this new Vice City.
