The images leaked during the Extended Look had already aroused astonishment for the size of the world of GTA 6, but the details revealed by TGG confirm an even greater ambition: the map of the new game would be about twice as much as that of GTA 5 and three times extended compared to Red Dead Redemption 2. TGG witnessed a three-hour game session at Rockstar North, led by development manager Rob Nelson, obtaining detailed information about the expansion of the open world. Nelson demonstrated the game for almost two and a half hours, allowing TGG to explore areas and elements excluded from public presentation. The goal stated by Rockstar is to reach an unprecedented scale, overcoming any limit reached in the past. The most impressive comparison concerns the two main settings: Vice City, according to the data provided, would be double the size of Los Santos. Considering also the surrounding suburban areas, the difference would rise up to eleven times in favor of the ambition of GTA 6. The entire territory would be three times larger than the Red Dead Redemption 2 map, a production already admired for its vastness and its level of detail. The aerial footage and views of the skyline in the Extended Look visually confirm the huge extension of Vice City. Although the size represents only part of the project's ambition, Rockstar stressed the importance of the overall reach of experience, describing GTA 6 as something that the public would never see before. The game will work at 30 frames per second on launch consoles, without performance modes, an optimization probably necessary to manage the complexity of this immensely vast world, populated by Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos.
