Xbox Gets GTA 6 Streaming Cloud Exclusive

By GTA6 Hub editorial team

New reports reveal that Xbox has acquired exclusive cloud streaming rights for Grand Theft Auto VI. This means that Xbox Cloud Gaming users will be able to access the streaming game from the launch day, including PCs and mobile devices. Access to streaming requires the purchase of the basic game combined with an active subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Players will be subject to a monthly limit of 15 hours of streaming and will have to buy additional hours of consumption to continue the gameplay. Microsoft has achieved this agreement to provide an immediate solution to players who do not own next-generation consoles, using dedicated servers for cloud transmission. How will that work? Xbox Cloud Gaming will process the graphic load on remote servers, transmitting the video stream directly to the user’s device via high-speed internet connection. According to The Verge, Xbox CEO, Asha Sharma, said at a meeting that this cloud streaming initiative represents an action that “no other platform provider is undertaking.” Costs and limits include the mandatory Game Pass Ultimate subscription, a 15-hour game limit for subscribers at the Ultimate level, and the need to purchase additional hour packages for overcoming this limit. Choosing cloud streaming depends on available hardware and internet connection stability; the streaming option provides immediate access to users without a new generation console, but subscription rates, potential latency and monthly limit make the native experience on console more advantageous.
