Zelnick Svela: the Trailer of GTA VI is Only the Beginning of the Promo Campaign

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick called the debut of “Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look” on Netflix as a simple “antipasto”, anticipating a promotional campaign articulated in different stages. In an interview with GamesIndustry.biz, Zelnick illustrated a plan that includes several events – described as “antipasti”, the “main plate” and the “dessert” – to involve the community of GTA VI. The speculations about the nature of these events are already at the centre of discussions on Reddit. The user u/Sorry Fail 3103, for example, hypotheses a short film focusing on the main characters, Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval, followed by a deep gameplay trailer – the “main plate” – and concluded by the final launch trailer as “dessert”. There are also rumors of a possible teaser dedicated to GTA Online. The presentation of August 27 will provide the first concrete information on the game, which will officially debut on November 19. Rockstar Games will intensify its promotional campaign in the following weeks, regularly posting trailers, gameplay footage and other news on Grand Theft Auto VI (available in pre-order on Amazon). It remains to be seen what will be the specific details of these events, but the GTA VI community can already expect growing attention in the coming months.
